UK Bodybuilding - for many years the UK has been a
leading force in world body building. Many great stars of the past such as Reg
Park and Dorian Yates were not only British they were also during their time the
best bodybuilders in the world. Reg Park was the role model for
Arnold Schwarzenegger
and many
people believe that Dorian Yates was the best
Mr Olympia of all time.
In the past the UK was the world centre for bodybuilding
with the greatest body builders from all over the world coming to compete in the
NABBA Mr Universe. Today however
the IFBB is now the dominant force in world bodybuilding. NABBA though is still
strong in many countries and does organise bodybuilding competitions throughout
the UK throughout the year. Good shows to attend include the NABBA UK , NABBA
South East & NABBA Britain.
If you are looking to compete in a UK bodybuilding
competition we would recommend one of the following:
BNBF - if you are a
100% natural competitor then the BNBF is the organisation for you. Very
professionally run with good judging standards. Click here for a list of

WPF - this organisation is
starting to become more & more popular perhaps because of the good quality
judging and generally well run feel of the shows.
NABBA - loads of shows - some
very good - the NABBA UK , NABBA Britain & of course NABBA UNIVERSE are some of
the best supported shows you will find.
IFBB - used to be EFBB - now
UKBFF - if you want to
be a Pro Bodybuilder compete in the
Mr Olympia , Ms
Olympia or Arnold Classic - get mainstream magazine coverage etc then this is the
